AFFORDABLE OUTDOOR STUFF: RUGS

via

I promised I’d start posting more regularly, so here we go! Just a little over a week after the first post in my spring series on affordable outdoor furniture and décor; I give you the second installment and it’s dedicated to something I covet more than any other home décor item: RUGS. I must admit, I probably went a little overboard with this one, but there were SO MANY GOOD ONES out there. I just couldn’t help myself! And a lot of these would look super snazzy both outdoors AND indoors.

Let’s start with the doormat since it’s the first thing you’re greeted by when you walk up to the house. There are so many cute doormats these days you guys! However, I picked just a few faves for y’all that I’ve come across whilst browsing online. I decided to lump them together with some of the dope too-expensive-to-buy-in-a-large-size rugs (eh hem, here’s looking at you Anthropologie) that I’ve been drooling over because, I mean, come on … dropping over a grand on a rug you plan to leave outside all the time? Nope. Even some of the doormats are a bit expensive for what they are (cough, Anthro, cough), but I can justify it because they’re still less than fifty bucks. Like number six, for example. That babe needs to get on my front porch immediately. I’d also enjoy walking up to number 10 on a daily basis!

All of the rugs in the next section would be great for a smaller back patio or even a large front porch. They could also be used to layer on top of another larger rug. I actually have number 10 on my back patio. It’s a decently-sized round rug; but for the size of the deck, it’s a little on the small side and I actually got it with the intention of buying a larger one to put under it. It hasn’t happened yet, but the patio sitch is next up on the to-do list!

Last but not least, the biggies!!! Since my back patio needs a larger rug, I’ve done quite a bit of looking around and I’m confident these are some of the best ones out there in terms of affordability. In fact, I’ve contemplated using nearly all of these myself. Number two is sweet; but I decided I wouldn’t be happy with the color scheme in the long run and it wouldn’t look right with my mint and green hammock I’m just dying to hang right now. Numbers one, five, and eight could also be winners. I don’t want to be hasty though, so I’ll ponder it a little longer. I’m notorious for swapping out rugs every six months, so I’ll have to make sure the one I get is ‘the one’ or my husband will never let me live it down!

That’s it! Tell me what you think in the comments below! And if there’s something in particular you’d like me to cover next in the series, feel free to share that as well. Thanks for reading!
