I don't know about you, but I'm totally overwhelmed with all of the options when I'm in search of a vintage rug. There are so many companies and individuals out there slinging rugs they claim to be vintage, but how do you know who's legit and who isn't? And if the rugs actually are vintage, how do you know if what you're getting is worth the cost or if it's even been cleaned properly?

I'll be the first to admit I don't really know anything about vintage rugs. So when I found Revival Rugs, it was a relief to work with a legit company who details on their website not only how they select their vintage rugs, but also how they make them like new for their next owner. I mean, has anyone else received a vintage rug that smelled like it was 100 years old? I sure have! I was told it was common and to spray it with essential oils, but it didn't sit well with me. At the time my son was a baby and I didn't feel comfortable having him crawl on it. Needless to say, it didn't last long in our home!

I've also seen rugs advertised online as being vintage that clearly weren't. Unfortunately, when you buy vintage, you have to just trust in whoever you're buying from unless you personally know a lot about what you're purchasing. Personally, I don't like to gamble when it comes to big ticket items, so I really appreciate the way Revival makes a point to explain their rug selection and cleaning processes.
That being said, all of the rugs pictured above are one-of-a-kind beauties found and refreshed by Revival, but they also have a line of new rugs and recently released a line of furniture and accessories as well! Their foldable leather Aide-de-Camp Chair has my heart! Their new domed Mantar Lamp is pretty dope too! Anyway, just wanted to put out a PSA for those of you who are as clueless about vintage rugs as I am! Revival started because the owners didn't like the general lack of transparency and high prices of most rug companies, both vintage and new. I highly recommend checking them out the next time you're in the market for a rug, whether new or new to you!
Thank you to Revival Rugs for sponsoring this post. As usual, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
